Web2100 Detection Error on Storage Device My 2yo X1 Yoga was in my backpack all weekend. When I got to the office this morning, it felt hot when I got it out and the battery seemed dead. I plugged it in and turned it on and got a black screen and "2100: Detection error on Storage Device (M.2) WebI got the 2102 error. I changed the 'network boot' order to NVMe0 and I was able to get my laptop back up and running. It was 'this' close to replacing it. This makes no sense. WebOct 28, 2024 · Hello, same problem for me, windows was stucked after startup and after forced shutoff the error 2100 appears all the time, i reset the bios, disconnect and reconnect the SSD, still the same. WebIt is true that a driver can cause a BSOD and subsequent 2100, but 2100 from the get-go points to SSD/laptop incompatibility. Typically the issue is that the SSD firmware takes too long to initialize and the BIOS drive probe code times out and flags the drive as not present.
