Before the pump will lift out of the tank you have to detatch the pick up line "T" (quick connect fittings like the two on the topside of the pump) then shove the pickup lines back into the tank to make room for the pump to slide out. WebIf the wheel has loosened to the point such that the wheel has tilted to any extent then you will need to jack it up, snug the nuts and lower the car. Then do the final tightening wit the wheels on the ground, if using a regular wrench, not an impact gun. Otherwise, you won’t need to use the jack. More answers below Leslie Pater
